Is this a good client-provider fit?
Setting expectations upfront for a successful working relationship.
Choosing the right CPA, and being the right client, is essential to building a long-term productive relationship. I strive to work with clients who value communication, efficiency, and mutual respect. Here is a bit more about what you can expect working with me and what I look for in return!
What I Offer:
Proactive, detail-oriented service tailored to your specific tax and/or bookkeeping needs.
A focus on client education and transparency so you feel informed - not overwhelmed.
A virtual, paperless process built for efficiency and security (though I can work with paper if and as needed).
A solo practice, which means you will work directly with me, not a revolving team of staff members.
Thoughtful communication and clear expectations every step of the way.
What Makes A Great Fit:
You are responsive and organized (or open to becoming more organized!).
You value timely, professional communication.
You are comfortable with a primarily electronic workflow (ShareFile, secure emails, etc.).
You are okay working with a solo CPA who does not work Fridays (outside of tax season).
You are willing to provide prior returns, records, and honest context about your needs so I can give you the best advice.
Probably Not a Good Fit If:
You require services I do not offer, such as:
C-Corporation Tax Preparation
Trust Tax Preparation
Nonprofit Tax Preparation
Payroll
Payroll/Sales Tax Filings
Business License/PP Tax Filings
Cash Management (paying invoices, collecting receivables, etc.)
You need a full-time team or in-person office support.
Your situation involves multiple states, recurring complex transactions, or government contracting work, which may require a specialist.
You are uncomfortable with remote work tools or secure online platforms.
Why Does This Matter?
This is not about being exclusive. It is about making sure that you get the best possible support for your situation. If your needs fall outside my scope, I will do my best to refer you to someone who is a better fit.
